This weekend marked the 40th year anniversary of the first 9-1-1 call made from Haleyville, Alabama. The phone used to make the call has a permanent home downtown and can be viewed at any time, by anyone. From the Haleyville Rotary Club's 9-1-1 Bar-B-Que Cook-Off, the street dance, the parade, car show, HHS car auction and the closing remarks of the Haleyville Idol Contest there was something for everyone to enjoy. If you weren't there you were the only one missing!
